Parkas are designed to be a longer cut giving you coverage down below your waist ,with a built in powder skirt to make sure no snow gets where it doesn't belong zapping you of essential heat.  Fleece lined pockets and micro-chamois lined chin guard gives you that extra little bit of comfort and warmth and the Exposure even has an interior space for a water bottle in case the temps are freezing outside.
